Primary Responsibilities
Media Res is in search of a seasoned Coordinator to Production. The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of production, and be consistent, thorough, self-motivated, and be able to effectively multi-task and anticipate needs of the department. The candidate should also have great attention to detail, great organization skills, and have the ability to switch gears at a moment's notice.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work with productions, in tandem with execs, to onboard them to the Media Res production manual and liaise with them for all production related needs
• Continue to be aware of policy changing needs and update production manual
• Serve as internal Point of Contact & external liaison on a show-by-show basis as well as serve internal department needs
• Source and set up writers' rooms, as well as hire and onboard support staff. Track writers room actuals against budget
• Locate and lease office and stage spaces for domestic and international series production and post production teams
• Liaise with accounting to handle start paperwork before accounting crew comes aboard
• Create and share show folders for every project, on both Box and Scenechronize
• Coordinate with Production Managers and department heads to make sure crew have resources and materials they need to work efficiently and effectively
• Create, update, track and proactively maintain inward and outward-facing production resources and documents
• Reach out for agency HOD submission, and work in tandem with department assistant to build and track HOD availabilities on airtable
• Liaise with Film Commissions to get location packages for review
• Create production calendars/timelines for both individual shows and overall show slate
• Coordinate and track all clearances on the show in conjunction with the clearance company and legal
• Track production information and paperwork, including Call Sheets, PRs, Distro lists, and maintain dept lists, for both current and future projects
• Take sole charge of wrap & delivery, including uploading any docs handled before the show team starts to Scenechronize
• Ensure all required documents are delivered to the Network at wrap
• Coordinate the storage and liquidation of show assets at production wrap and ensure delivery requirements are met with the Network
• Execute special projects for the internal production team, as needed
• Champion evolving technologies and determine how to incorporate them into production workflows
• Help set up our productions to be in compliance with all necessary unions and insurance needs
• Supervise and manage interns and assistants to ensure a smooth & efficient workflow in the department
Qualifications:
• At least 3-years experience working as an assistant or coordinator in Entertainment (show production experience a plus but not required).
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Must have experience with Scenechronize, Box, Sync on Set, Assethub, MS Word, Excel.
• Must be able to follow-up on tasks and information with precise accuracy and speed.
• Must have a genuine interest in working and growing in physical production.
Salary/Benefits
$21.00 - 24.00 per hour
