Position Overview:
The People, Culture, and Operations Manager will be a key player in supporting Human Resources and Operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant operations across multiple facets of the business. This role will combine HR responsibilities, including full cycle recruiting, benefits administration, performance management, culture and programming initiatives, and compliance with operational duties such as process improvement, project coordination, facilities support, and maintaining office systems and resources. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Support:
• Manage employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and employee record management.
• Support payroll processing and ensure accurate collection and submission of timekeeping data and payroll changes per pay-period.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations, and handle benefits-related inquiries.
• Help manage performance management and goal setting
• Track, update and manage employee data in the HRIS (Human Resources Information System), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage updating and maintaining HR and company policies such as Employee Handbook, LOA, vacation and sick time, and required state and federal notices.
• Implement and support training and development programs, employee engagement initiatives, employee recognition programs, lunch and learns, and diversity & inclusion efforts.
• Manage year-round internship program.
• Track and manage state and federal reporting requirements including but not limited to California Pay Reporting and EEOC-1.
• Assist with HR systems implementation including HRIS, background checks, and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Support Production HR on an as needed basis
• Other responsibilities may be assigned
Operations Support:
• Support ad-hoc projects involving data management, research, and analysis
• Contribute to planning and execution of semi-annual company events
• Coordinate and track corporate and talent gifting initiatives
• Assist in vendor management, including contract coordination, relationship maintenance, and oversight of product/service delivery
• Provide facilities support, including office décor coordination, invoice processing, and occasional Reception coverage as needed
General Administration:
• Assist with scheduling, data entry, compiling information, and maintaining HR, Operations, and personnel folders.
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field required.
• 4+ years of experience in HR, with a proven track record of multitasking and managing projects.
• Experience with HRIS systems, full cycle recruiting, and benefits management
• Familiarity with office management, vendor relations, and process improvement strategies
Skills & Abilities:
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on professionalism and clarity.
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Airtable, and HRIS.
• A proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of labor laws, HR compliance, and operational best practices.
