Job Summary:
The Director, HR Business Partner contributes to defining and implementing a Human Resource strategy which aligns and integrates with the client's business strategy. The Director will have responsibility for the ABC Studios client group. Develops and implements a comprehensive and integrated Human Capital Plan that proactively address all major HR areas; talent acquisition, organization development, performance management, talent planning and career development, leadership development, compensation and rewards, learning, and diversity.
Responsibilities:
• Catalyst to developing others in the group
• Helps establish a functional level of OD capabilities
• Build strong Client relationships to resolve complex business issues
• Ability to translate data to analytics to insights
• Conduit to OD on complex organizational changes and Enterprise Projects
• Shares best practices with other Business Partner teams across DATG and TWDC
• Participates in annual operating plan discussions for assigned business operations and develops appropriate Human Resources plans in support of key business needs
• Provides expert advice and counsel to leaders on all organization and human resources issues
• Develops and implements appropriate change management plans as required by the business
• Monitors and analyzes trends in workforce demographics for the assigned organization and develops appropriate plans to meet the needs of a changing business environment and workforce
• Provides ongoing performance coaching and feedback to the assigned organization's leaders regarding issues of managerial style, communications, and employee interactions
• Identifies key human resource needs, develops appropriate solutions and as appropriate brokers with other internal human resource Centers of Excellence (COE) for human resources services to be offered to the assigned organization
• Active participant in the leadership team of assigned organization and attends staff meetings of key leadership team members
• Acts as point person and ''one stop shop'' for HR client needs
• Responds in a timely fashion to escalated issues from the assigned COEs
• Implements and monitors adherence to all Enterprise-wide or assigned organization specific Human Resources related policies and procedures
• Advises the assigned organization's management in the administration of Enterprise-wide or business operations specific Human Resources related policies and procedures
• Regularly solicits feedback on Human Resources services from the assigned organization's management and continually seeks to address issues and concerns
• Leads the implementation of ongoing succession and development planning for the organization
• Leads the development of the training/development strategies to close skill ''gaps'' between current and future skill sets and competencies
• Conducts ongoing reviews of the assigned organization's organizational design and proposes changes to enhance operations
• Develops and administers employee performance management programs, plans and advises the assigned organization's management in the carrying out of performance management and employee development plans
• Consults with the assigned organization's management in aligning performance management and reward recommendations
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in organizational development and change management processes
• Possesses both strategic thinking capability and ''hands on'' HR plan implementation experience
• Strong influence and interpersonal skills demonstrated
• Ability to influence mid-level and senior management
• Strong influence, interpersonal skills and overall leadership capability
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• People management
• Strong working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws pertaining to the employment relationship
Preferred Qualifications:
• Track record of influencing executives mid-level and senior management
• Conflict resolution skills
• Strong adaptability to changing priorities
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Human Resources Management or 10-12 years in increasingly responsible HR Business Partner roles including direct involvement with senior business executives
Preferred Education
MBA/MS OD or relevant graduate degree preferred
