Job Description:
Producer Bill Block is seeking someone who is proficient in Adobe Photoshop, scanning, silkscreening, and inkjet printing. The ideal candidate will support our production team in creating and preparing artwork for various projects. This role requires a combination of technical skills, artistic ability, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
• Digital Image Editing: Use Adobe Photoshop to edit, enhance, and prepare images for printing and other production processes. This includes retouching, color correction, compositing, and resizing images.
• Scanning: Operate scanners to digitize artwork, photographs, and other materials, ensuring high-resolution, color-accurate files.
• Silkscreen Preparation and Printing: Assist in the preparation of screens for silkscreen printing, including coating, exposing, and developing screens. Help in the setup and operation of the silkscreen printing equipment to produce high-quality prints.
• Inkjet Printing: Operate inkjet printers to produce high-quality prints on various media. Perform routine maintenance on printers, including color calibration and troubleshooting issues.
• Production Support: Assist in all stages of the production process, from preparing materials to final quality control checks. Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
• Inventory Management: Help manage inventory of printing materials, inks, screens, and other supplies. Ensure that all materials are stocked and organized.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and client specifications. Make adjustments as needed to achieve the desired output.
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suite applications.
• Experience with scanning equipment and software.
• Knowledge of silkscreen printing techniques and equipment.
• Familiarity with inkjet printers and print production processes.
• Strong attention to detail and an eye for color accuracy and quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Flexibility in an evolving environment
• Prior experience in a similar role or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with other graphic design software (e.g., Illustrator, InDesign).
• Basic knowledge of other printing techniques and materials.
• Understanding of color theory and color management.
• Experience in a studio or print production environment.
