Maximum Films & Management is currently looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, passionate reader intern for Spring 2023 with good people and communication skills, nice phone manner, and solid reading/writing/coverage abilities, to work 2 days a week, Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00am-6:30, may be fully remote or a combination of in the office and remote. Exact start date flexible, but probably second week of January-May.
Requirements:
•Read books and write coverage/synopses/comments, in MFM's format, on a weekly basis (typically 1 book per weekend). Be prepared to sit in on client calls with MFM staff and discuss/pitch a book you've read succinctly, as cued by owner of company.
•Research authors/books as needed, and working with assistant and CE, help out with a daily Trades Round-up of news and deals, scour magazines and publications for potential articles and ideas for adaptation and client-requested research or book lists.
•Research articles for potential film/TV adaptation for MFM's articles memo every Wednesday.
