THE ROLE
in search of a highly motivated, organized and most importantly, enthusiastic individual who is interested in working within the heart of the live entertainment industry. You can expect to develop your multi-tasking abilities and understand the process of putting on a show from start to finish. A Finance Intern will learn project costing skills as well as gain valuable, real-world experience in the live entertainment industry. This position will report to the Finance team, supporting the accounting department as needed, and will frequently interface with company staff outside of Finance, including marketing, production, operations, talent, creative development, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Working with various members of the finance/accounting department to provide day-to-day assistance for projects and tasks.
• Working with production/operations groups to update and reconcile finance-related operating schedules
• Coordination of, and participation in, meetings with key production/operations groups and the production finance team
• Performing research and data analysis in support of various operating groups
• Assisting with event forecasting and settlement of festivals, branded shows, and concerts
• Opportunity for hands-on work with operating teams (ie. box office, customer experience, etc) on-site at events
• Creating or assisting with the creation of monthly/quarterly financial schedules
• Document organization/filing
• Reconciling and reviewing expense reports, with reconciliation to supporting documents
QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be 18 years of age and currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school
• Must provide documentation from school that you will be receiving college credit for the internship
• Must be able to work least two days a week for four hours each day
• Typical commitment is 10-16 hours per week
• Must be motivated with an ''Everything is possible'' attitude
• Must be an active problem solver, instilled with a sense of urgency for projects large and small
