MarVista Entertainment, a full-service independent studio and distribution company, seeks an Operations Intern who will support the Operations & Post Production teams in coordinating all MVE productions and acquisitions as they move down the post--production and distribution pipelines.
This position reports to the Post Production Supervisor and Technical Operations Coordinator. This position requires current enrollment in a college or university internship program.
Applicants must have experience working with non--linear editing systems such as Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere. Ideal applicants will also have knowledge of audio/video specifications and a strong interest in post--production and distribution.
Core responsibilities include:
Learn to create, develop and maintain the Post Production calendar/schedule.
Attend various post--production processes (i.e Color Correction, Sound Mix, Spotting Sessions, etc.)
Exposure to the marketing department by creating promotional material for social media and press.
Gain proficiency in maintaining and developing the archive process for digital video and audio assets.
Gain knowledge of digital distribution by inputting information onto various VOD platforms.
Shadow the facilitation of internal QC of all deliveries.
Requirements:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and general office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs
Ability to quickly learn and multi--task in a fast--paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities
Ability to work well and stay motivated under pressure
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when working with sensitive information
