Description:
This is an ideal opportunity for a recent law school graduate wanting to break into the rewarding and challenging world of entertainment business and legal affairs. The candidate hired will, in addition to handling administrative needs for the SVP, spearhead special business and development projects, with a focus on drafting and constructing complex deal agreements for talent, writers, producers, productions, etc. Training will be under the direct supervision of the Sr. Vice President. This role has the potential to lead to future growth within the department.
The ability to meet critical deadlines is essential. As this position will interact with senior executives inside and outside the company, a high level of integrity and professionalism is a must. The individual hired must be proficient in Outlook and Excel and be a collaborative resource with internal and external business partners.
Essential Functions
Coordinate departmental and inter-departmental communications
Manage incoming and outgoing workflow, updating status changes on master spreadsheet
Manage deal request timelines and prioritization
Coordinate and organize a busy calendar.
Receive and place calls, take messages and route correspondence, maintain call log
Partner with Finance re relevant residuals issues
Manage travel itineraries and arrangements
Prepare expense reports
Special projects and other duties as needed
Requirements:
Recent graduate of an ABA accredited law school
Admitted to California Bar
Demonstrated interest in the entertainment industry preferable
Must be a self-motivated and proactive with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced, environment
Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
