Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced transactional Paralegal to support legal work for Marvel's publishing business, consumer products licensing business (which will also include other Disney franchises), and other Marvel-related matters. In addition to working with attorneys and other professionals, this position with liaise with editors, salespeople, licensing managers, and other business professionals within finance, creative services, and contract management. This role will be based in New York, NY and is expected to work in Marvel's midtown, NYC office 4 days per week.
Responsibilities:
• Draft publishing license agreements and amendments;
• Research and summarize talent agreements;
• Review comic book art, assets, advertising, and other content;
• Draft consumer products license agreements and amendments;
• Draft services agreements, promotional and custom content agreements, sponsorship agreements, permission letters, non-disclosure agreements, and correspondence with vendors and licensees;
• Maintain templates;
• Assist with contract workflow and filing, and related administration; and
• Work closely with and accept assignments from attorneys and legal professionals across multiple business units.
Basic Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of paralegal experience.
• Experience in contract drafting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task and prioritize.
• Able to work independently, but also be a team player across legal and with business clients.
• Strong computer skills, including with office productivity software such as Microsoft Word and Excel, and familiarity with contract management software and systems.
• Experience working in-house preferred.
• Understanding of intellectual property rights is preferred.
Required Education
• A Bachelor's Degree and/or qualifications to be a paralegal by certification or education and work experience as set forth by the American Bar Association and any applicable state codes

The hiring range for this position in NY is $75,905 to $98,230 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
