Job Summary:
Marvel Studios is seeking a motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented individual to support and uphold the physical asset management policies and procedures in Streaming and Feature Productions. Reporting to the Director of Physical Production, the Manager, oversees the management of all recoverable assets; manufactured, purchased or acquired by all production companies. Involvement in audit process with production finance. Wrap, ship and store all recoverable and valuable assets from productions worldwide.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee reshoot, pickup photography, marketing, promotional and publicity needs of assets or any other Post Production needs.
• Oversee and develop all new liquidation/sales and transfer processes due to new studio business model for all recoverable production assets.
• Meet with all productions to institute policies and assist with wrap procedures. Includes travel to location-based productions as assigned
• Manage and present inventory and types of assets available for displays or promotion for various venues throughout the company i.e. Franchise, Promotions, Publicity and El Capitan Theater.
• To lead the team in tracking outgoing loans, transfers, sales, donations and prepare all department related contracts and documents; ensuring that all props and costume loans, transfers, sales and donations are managed according to policies and procedures.
• Manage the intake of storage and organization of feature film and streaming assets with regular trips to offsite Asset Storage Warehouse(s), following proper storage procedures.
• The hiring and training of all new asset assistants and coordinators on all shows.
• Managing freight logistics for local and international productions specific to asset recovery.
• Assist with audit of asset tracking and disposition on accounting ledger during all phases of production; pre-production through post production.
• Test and aid with implementation of current and future Asset Management tracking software/database.
• Manage and maintaining the mission of the Green Steward Program on all productions. Includes coordinating meetings with Stewards and vendors as well as keeping all ''green'' related documents up to date to coincide with Disney Green standards and initiatives.
• Creating budgets, and implementing timely delivery of requested assets around the world.
• Assist with booking travel and managing itinerary schedules for my department as required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum three to five years' experience managing the use of live action physical production assets.
• High level of integrity in handling proprietary and confidential information; promotes confidence with other employees in handling sensitive data.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds to help with warehouse organization and movement of boxes.
• Ability to work calmly, professionally, and collaboratively, under pressure, and with a variety of personalities, including the Disney teams, production companies and vendors.
• Ability to prioritize multiple, changing projects in a dynamic, sometimes high-pressure environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel; ability to learn new software and technologies.
• Self-starter, with a proactive can-do, solution-oriented mindset.
• Must have a valid passport, driver's license, and vehicle and be willing to travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience within a film Production environment desirable.
• Must be able to efficiently juggle multiple projects, establish priorities, and thrive within a fast paced and high-pressure environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse personalities and work styles.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability and attention to detail are required.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Education
Requirement:
• Bachelor's Degree in film, art, theatre, communications or related field or equivalent, or commensurate level of experience.
