Marvel seeks a qualified candidate for an administrative assistant role providing support to 3 executives: the President of Marvel Comics & Franchise, the Senior VP & Editor-in-Chief of Publishing, and the Senior VP of Business Development & New Initiatives.
The ideal candidate will perform a variety of administrative duties, which include handling a heavy volume of scheduling, booking travel arrangements, preparing and submitting expense reports, special projects, and other coordination tasks. This entry level opportunity will provide the candidate with exposure to many different business functions as well as people within the organization. The role is a unique chance to learn about different roles and teams which will assist in their future career goals and trajectory.
Having the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clear communication and a team player attitude are key factors that will distinguish a superior candidate.
Responsibilities:
• Scheduling meetings and maintaining multiple calendars.
• Booking business travel and organizing travel-related workplace accommodations.
• Handling the preparation and tracking of expense reports.
• Contributing to special projects as assigned.
• Managing, creating, and organizing departmental files.
• Answering and screening incoming calls.
Basic Qualifications:
• Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Detail-oriented with proven organizational and prioritization skills.
• Positive attitude with the ability to interact with multiple levels of employees and clients within and outside the organization in both verbal and written form.
• Possess enthusiasm and creativity.
• Works well under pressure while being flexible and adaptable.
• Multi-tasks successfully at any given time.
• Excellent intrapersonal skills with the ability to exercise appropriate judgment in executing tasks without supervision.
• Assumes challenges and has a willingness to learn new things.
Preferred Education:
BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience
The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $40,000 to $60,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
