This is a Full Time Unpaid Internship

As part of the Marvel Studios Production Technology team, you'll be joining a group of seasoned, dedicated technologists supporting these world class productions, developing the next generation of production pipeline technology, as well as solving a range of interesting problems in innovative ways in an exciting and dynamic environment.
We're looking for a motivated, hard working individual who is enthusiastic and willing to take on a range of tasks in the support of our Visual Effects and Post-Production departments.
Responsibilities:
• Organize and develop archiving tools for Marvel Visual Effects databases.
• Develop automation scripts in Python.
• GUI Design for applications.
• Develop Python tools and support production needs.
• Troubleshoot technical bugs and workflow problems.
• Support software engineers as well as the Visual Effects and Post-Production departments.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with Python, Shell, and other scripting.
• Experience supporting OS X, Windows, and Linux operating systems.
• Strong problem solving abilities.
• The ability to analyze and prioritize production needs and tasks.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Databases.
• Familiarity with Filemaker Pro.
• Familiarity with Shotgun.
• A basic understanding of the Visual Effects process.
• Experience developing for 2D and 3D applications such as Nuke and Maya.
• Prior internships and/or classes in Visual Effects or Post-Production a plus.
Required Education
Sophomore, Junior or Senior level undergraduate student or Graduate level pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Internship Eligibility:
• At the time of application, must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Must provide full work availability
• Must provide own transportation to/from work
• Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
Program Length:
The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2020 - August/September 2020. Interns must be available to work full-time for the duration of the internship.
