Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
• Manages and oversees the credits process for all Marvel Studios' productions including but not limited to, Live Action and Animated Theatrical, Streaming releases.
• Drafts, prepares and proofs all On-Screen Credits and all other credits (e.g. Billing Blocks) for all Marvel Studios Productions.
• Drafts, prepares, proofs, and/or summarizes legal documents and correspondence (including, but not limited to the preparation of travel requirements memos, paid and excluded advertisements summaries, and publicity requirement memos, premiere invitation summaries and merchandising restrictions memos).
• Oversee and manage all external main and end title houses and other credit vendors.
• Advise internal and external business partners on guild and union credits requirements for traditional and new media platforms
• Serve as the primary point of contact on credits for all productions, colleagues and any Disney entity or affiliate.
• Manage correspondence and standard required paperwork with unions and guilds.
• Review and/or prepare all on-screen and print credits to ensure guild and union compliance.
• Review and/or prepare al WGA Notices of Tentative Writing Credits to ensure guild compliance.
• Oversee all WGA credit arbitrations.
• Request waivers from applicable guilds and unions as necessary.
• Review all marketing and merchandise materials for credit and legal issues.
• Coordinate payments to writers and other talents with accounting.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years of film and television credits experience working at a studio, production company, entertainment guild, or law firm preferred.
• Knowledge of television and/or film production and the related technical aspect of the entertainment business.
• Established working relationships with the guilds, unions, and studio counterparts.
• Ability to review and analyze production related agreements and guild and union collective bargaining agreements.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-based environment.
• Ability to take initiative, focus on details, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to exercise judgment to appropriately discern when to escalate issues.
• Knowledge of applicable legal procedures, terminology, policies, and standards.
Required Education
• College Degree in related field or combination of education and related experience.
