Fall Intern - Brand and Franchise

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship


Marvel, a top-tier entertainment company, is seeking a well-organized and highly motivated individual for a fall internship to support the Global Creative Services, Brand Management and Franchise Planning Department with day-to-day graphic design and digital artwork development.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in writing copy, i.e. Licensee Communications, CP Fact Sheets, Style Guide intros/bios
• Read and summarize data relevant to B&F and Creative team, i.e. weekly retail analytics reports, ASGARD download reports
• Build out B&F presentations, i.e. Creative Review, top selling products reports, ASGARD Download reports
• Assist in routing of style guide materials for legal and trademark approval
• Tackle long-standing ASGARD ''tank of snakes'' cataloguing issues, ie. the ordering of MU Publishing Archive assets, metadata problems

Basic Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Marvel Brand
• Proficiency in writing/generating copy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat)
• Design skills a plus, but not required
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail
• Strong sense of urgency, confidentiality and accountability
• Competent in quickly and efficiently following up on projects and communications
• Ability to set and achieve extremely high standards
• Excellent organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Resume must outline other internships, degrees earned, work experience, related clubs and organizations, current major course of study, expected graduation date and extracurricular activities.
• Cover letter must include a personal introduction, and days/times available during internship period.
• Preferred Junior or Senior-level standing
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Required Education

Must be enrolled in college or university, ideally pursuing a degree in visual arts or graphic design-related major.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program by arrival date
• Junior, Senior Undergraduate Program student status by arrival date is preferred

Additional Information:

Internship Eligibility:
• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.

Program Dates: The internship will start in September - December with flexibility as needed based on academic calendars.

Housing & Transportation: This internship is located in New York, NY. All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
