The ideal candidate is an experienced documentary, sports, social, or news producer/story teller with experience working on a growing digital content series. As a producer for our Chronicles series you will be expected to handle production, ideation, episode strategy, communication with athletes, and creative direction.
This is a hands-on job at every phase: from conception through production and from post-production to delivery and making necessary adjustments based on analytics and audience feedback to improve on success of future episodes and the overall series.
The ideal candidate is dynamic in all aspects of workflow and must also possess a can do attitude, a positive outlook, clear communication skills, and an understanding of sports at the HS, College, and Pro level (Basketball, Soccer, Football). This candidate must also have great problem solving skills, be task-Driven, social media savvy, and detail oriented.
Applications must include sample work/links, as well as a full resume and professional references. Candidates should also include a brief cover letter and three episode pitches for potential athletes.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work independently as well as with correspondents and other producers
Strong writing ability and clear, concise thinking.
Must be a self-starter
Establish and maintain contacts; develop sources; and secure interviews and access of the highest level
Oversee both field and in-house elements of story/episode production
Work with graphics team to come up with creative and informative ways to tell a story
Secure appropriate rights and clearances for video usage
Oversee all costs of production and post-production
Oversee junior production staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong editorial professional ethics
3 to 5 years of proven experience in production at well-regarded networks, cable networks, digital production companies, or equivalent
Extensive knowledge of television news and documentary film production
Ability to shoot is preferred
Ability to write clearly
Ability to deal with multiple and changing priorities
Detail oriented and highly organized
Willing to work long hours, weekends and holidays
Ability to travel nationally and internationally as needed, sometimes at the last minute
Experience managing and taking care of crews in the field over extended periods in foreign environments
Experience in hostile situations a bonus
Knowledge of budgeting and ability to actualize costs
Working knowledge of Mac computer systems
