MWA is seeking an experienced Trailer Producer with a strong background in editing to join our creative team. As a Producer, you will oversee the entire process of trailer production, from concept development to final delivery, ensuring the highest standards of creativity, quality, and efficiency. Your expertise in trailer editing will help you effectively communicate with editors and ensure that all trailers meet both creative and marketing goals. Candidates must be able to work on-site at our office in Santa Monica, CA.

Responsibilities:
> Oversee the production of trailers, teasers, TV spots, sizzles, and promo campaigns under the guidance of a Creative Director.
> Work closely with filmmakers, clients, editors, and writers to shape compelling trailer narratives and ensure strong storytelling that aligns with the vision of the film or show.
> Utilize your trailer editing background to guide and collaborate with editors, ensuring that pacing, tone, music, and graphics align with the creative brief.
> Serve as the primary point of contact for clients (studios, networks, streaming services) to ensure their feedback and objectives are met while maintaining creative integrity.
> Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality work.
> Collaborate with composers, sound designers, and music supervisors to select music tracks and sound effects that elevate the emotional impact of trailers.
> Review and approve cuts, ensuring consistency in quality, accuracy, and creative excellence across all assets.
> Work with marketing and distribution teams to ensure the trailer fits within the broader campaign and meets platform-specific requirements (e.g., theatrical, broadcast, digital).
> Oversee and coordinate the delivery of trailers and accompanying materials (artwork, end cards, subtitles, etc.) for various distribution channels.

Qualifications:
> Prior experience as a Producer or Editor in film and television advertising with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of trailer work across genres.
> Demonstrated proficiency using Avid Media Composer with a deep understanding of trailer pacing, structure, and emotional storytelling.
> Strong storytelling skills with a keen understanding of narrative and how to evoke emotional responses through editing, music, and sound.
> Ability to lead creative teams, including editors, sound designers, and graphic artists, while maintaining strong client relationships.
> Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and collaborate with various stakeholders, including creative teams and clients.
> Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
> Experience working with music libraries, composers, and sound designers to create impactful audio experiences.
> Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changes in project scope, client feedback, and timelines.
> Experience with motion graphics and visual effects.
> Knowledge of industry trends and best practices for trailer production

Additional Information:
Hours: 10a-7p with possible OT
Location: Hybrid; must be within commuting distance of main office in Santa Monica, CA

Compensation:
$90K - $130K/year
This position is salary/exempt from OT
