Public Relations Representative
Maniac strives to elevate, by employing, and empowering Queer, and BIPOC, Creatives, Brands through Digital Content! We are seeking a Public Relations Coordinator, who is responsible for organizing and overseeing PR activities, in order to ensure effective communication between clients, media, and the public. Our ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, is confident, cool tempered, and knows how to handle themselves under pressure. If you are creative, and confident in your public speaking skills, this is the position for you!
Duties, and responsibilities
Plans and executes public outreach events and media campaigns
Drafts creative strategies that support the company's current campaign and new moves through editorial content.
Writes and distributes press releases
Builds positive relationships with the community
Organize PR events
Collaborates with internal teams and maintains open communication with senior management
Addresses inquires from media, and other public interest groups
Prepares and submit PR reports
Seeks sponsorships, partnerships, and advertising opportunities
Edits, updates promotional material such as brochures, videos, and social media posts.
Coaches clients reps with effective communication with the public and employees
Requirement and skills
BS/BA in Public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field
4 year minimum experience as a public relations coordinator, or a similar role
Ability to work well under pressure
Strong communication skills (Oral & Print)
Excellent organization skills
Experience in researching writing, and editing publications
Experience managing media relations
Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media platforms
Familiarity with project management software
