Part Time Unpaid Internship
Below is our usual internship posting. Our offices are currently closed, but when they re-open, we will adhere to all city, county & state protocols for everyone's health and safety. We would therefore like to proceed in seeking interns for the Spring, 2021semester. As of now, we will be comfortable with interns coming into our offices when it appropriate to do so; but it will be up to each student, their family and their college or university if they wish to do so. Otherwise, the internship will be a virtual one.
MANDALAY INTERNSHIP
Mandalay is seeking interns for the Spring, 2021 semester. The semester will run from approximately January or February, 2021 through May or June, 2021. NOTE: Your internship start date must coincide with the start of your semester, and your internship must end when your semester ends.
Mandalay strives to provide students with an educational, real-world experience in several aspects of the entertainment and sports industries. However, this is a GENERAL OFFICE internship, NOT a physical production nor a creative internship.
Students will be exposed to many facets of an entertainment and sports business office. This will include, but is not limited to, learning how to read a script and write coverage; the general workings of an office; the elements of preparing a production budget; the creation of a deal memo; and shadowing executive assistants.
During the semester, students may be given projects based on the above, with the finished work required before the completion of their time here. This will include, but is not limited to written/research projects.
The internship will be at Mandalay's offices in Los Angeles.
This is NOT a paid internship.
This internship is ''for credit only'' with the key requirement being that the student MUST be able to take the semester for college credit at a US college or university; and on the student's first day, is required to provide an original/hard copy of a letter on their school's stationery so stating in order to start the internship. NO faxes or scans or the like will be accepted.
