MANDALAY INTERNSHIP
Mandalay is seeking interns for the Spring, 2020 semester. The semester will run from approximately January, 2020 through May or June, 2020. NOTE: Your start date, however, cannot be prior to the start of your semester, and your internship must end when your semester ends.
Mandalay strives to provide students with an educational, real-world experience in several aspects of the entertainment and sports industries. However, this is NOT a physical production nor a creative internship.
Students will be exposed to many facets of an entertainment and sports business office. This will include, but is not limited to, learning how to read a script and write coverage; the general workings of an office; the elements of preparing a production budget; the creation of a deal memo; and shadowing both executives and executive assistants.
During the semester, students may be given projects based on the above, with the finished work required before the completion of their time here. This will include, but is not limited to written/research projects.
The internship will be at Mandalay's offices in Los Angeles.
This is NOT a paid internship. Nor is it a production internship.
This internship is ''for credit only'' with the key requirement being that the student MUST be able to take the semester for college credit at a US college or university; and is required to provide an original/hard copy of a letter on their school's stationery so stating in order to start the internship.
OUT OF TOWN STUDENTS: PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE AWARE OF HOUSING AND OTHER COSTS TO LIVE IN LOS ANGELES BEFORE YOU APPLY. AND EACH STUDENT IS RESPONSIBLE TO LOCATE AND PAY FOR ALL TRANSPORTATION AND HOUSING TO AND WHILE IN L.A.
