Mandalay Television is an entertainment company founded in 1995 by Peter Guber, with interests in motion pictures, animated films, television, sports entertainment, and new media. Mandalay has garnered over 70 Academy Award and Emmy nominations across film and television.
We're seeking bright, motivated interns who are passionate about television and eager to dive into the world of development. As an intern, you'll work directly with our television team and the Head of Television, gaining hands-on experience in crafting pitches, brainstorming original series concepts, and helping manage our active development slate. This immersive opportunity offers a front-row seat to the creative process, giving you a rare chance to contribute and observe the inner workings of television development from the ground up.

Intern Responsibilities:
Grid creation/management
Pitch deck creation
Script & book coverage
Research
Meeting notes
Intern Benefits:
Interns will get the opportunity to meet with all available executives and other staff at Mandalay Entertainment during their internship
Interns may get the opportunity to sit in on certain pitches and meetings to observe the inner workings of the industry
Interns get the opportunity to pitch a television show to the entire company at the end of the internship to demonstrate all that they have learned
Qualifications:
Must be detail-oriented and able to handle complex instructions with care and follow-through.
Must be an excellent multi-tasker and have proven problem-solving abilities.
Must have a friendly, open demeanor with ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
Must be able to adapt to changes and work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Must be dependable and proactive.
Must be able to prioritize the workload and use time efficiently.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. script coverage experience is a plus.
Must be proficient with Google and Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and Zoom. Experience using Midjourney AI is a plus. Experience making pitch decks is a plus.
Program Details:
The internship will be at Mandalay's offices in Los Angeles. Interns must be available to work in-person 2-3 days a week from 9am-6pm.
This is an unpaid internship for school credit only, and receiving school credit is required. You must provide us with a letter from your university (on the school's stationery) on or before your first day that confirms that you will be receiving credit for the internship, along with any mandatory paperwork from your school, which we will complete and return.
In order to meet your school's credit requirement, your internship must align with your school's schedule - a full semester or quarter - as applicable.
Out of town students: Please make sure you are aware of housing and other costs to live in Los Angeles before you apply. Each student is responsible to locate and pay for all transportation, housing, and other expenses while in LA, and all personal expenses for travel to, from, and while in LA.
