Maker Studios has an exciting freelance opportunity in our Makeup/Hair Department as a Makeup Artist. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated person who is passionate about Makeup and Hair. In this role, you will be taking direction from the Makeup Manager and Producers to ensure that models, performers and presenters have suitable makeup and hairstyles before they appear in front of cameras or an audience.

Responsibilities:

• Communicating with clients to clarify visual requirements
• Ensuring continuity in hair and makeup throughout the duration of the shoot.
• Maintaining awareness of health and safety issues
• Hairdressing, fitting and maintaining wigs.
• Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of available makeup and beauty products
• Getting to and from location shoots
• Going on errands for products and supplies
• Working quickly and accurately in time-pressured conditions
• Maintaining a clean and organized work station

Qualifications:

• 1+ years in Makeup/Hair related field
• Experience in an on-set environment
• Must have an understanding of Beauty and Special FX makeup
• Willingness to work independently or in collaboration with fellow team members
• Extraordinary organizational skills
• Willingness to work long hours and weekends
• Has reliable transportation
