TITLE: Production Manager — Video and Web Production
Maker Studios, a fast growing new media studio is seeking an enthusiastic, efficient, proactive, dedicated and detail-oriented candidate to come aboard as a consultant Production Manager. As Production Manager, candidate will be charged with leading and organizing all aspects of production of upwards of 35-50 short form comedy web videos per week.
The ideal candidate must be proven leader with the ability to thrive in the fast moving nimble company. Must have experience with guerilla filmmaking and creation of web video on micro budgets. The role will require long hours and meticulous planning. Candidate should have knowledge of locations, casting, crew, budgeting, and scheduling. Candidate must be exceptional communicator with solid computer skills, and the ability to juggle several projects simultaneously. A passion for perfection and a love of the exploding online video world is a must.
Candidate will need to juggle a wide variety of production budgets, formats, and quality levels. Candidates will be working closely within a team environment, so timely communication, a friendly demeanor, and a team-player. The ideal candidate must be self-sufficient and get excitement from resolving problems as they arise and making things happen.

Since the Company’s launch in August 2009, it has built the 17th largest channel on YouTube and has put 5 of the top 60 channels under management. Collectively Maker Studios network encompasses over 3 million YouTube subscriptions and is generating 40 million monthly video views. The company acts as production studio for the channels under management, including the company owned and operated YouTube channel The Station. The Station¹s content can be likened to Saturday Night Live (“SNL”) for the YouTube generation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Working full time out of the offices, planning for all of the physical productions week to week on an ongoing basis including budgeting, scheduling, securing locations, casting, props, additional resources, catering, etc.
• Working directly with the Head of Production to plan out scheduling months in advance, and assure everything is on schedule related to scripts.
• Coordinating with the Directors and Creative Executives to schedule Pre-Production Meetings.
• Keeping up and maintaining our casting database.
• Keeping tabs on Editors’ progress and make sure deadlines are met set out by Company.
• Hiring and managing interns and delegating them on multiple tasks from assisting on film sets to work around the office to assisting in the editing room for the various channels in the network.
• Working with directors specifically on planning their shoot days to ensure all videos are successfully shot as scheduled for the day.
• Keeping and updating a production schedule, to be sent out every week with any changes, with the ultimate goal of everyone knowing what is to be shot and who is needed for entire months at a time.
CORE COMPTETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have proven previous experience as a Producer and/or Production Manager of film and video content
• Excellent computer and administrative skills: Word / Excel / Outlook / Power Point / Google Documents / YouTube / Google Calendars / Final Draft
• Excellent organizational skills
• Experience working in a team environment with a deadline-driven production company and understanding of micro budget filmmaking.
• Flexibility and enthusiasm for multi-tasking
• A passion for producing, and seeing projects through to completion.
• Web video development and environment experience preferred (but not a must).
Payment:
Starting payment will be $2,000/month.
