This is a Part Time Paid Internship
Strategy & Operations Intern, Spring 2025 - Business Affairs
Magnolia Pictures is seeking a part-time seasonal intern to support the Business Affairs team - this position requires availability 2-3 days per week, up to 24 hours weekly, from February to May 2025 (subject to mutual agreement). We are in our Flatiron, NYC office Tuesday-Thursday, remote Monday and Friday. Hourly rate $16.50.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive growth initiatives by leveraging market research, technology, and data
- Create business insight documents to support various teams across the company
- Assist the team on ad-hoc projects involving our deals and licensing efforts
- Identify and implement processes to help improve company operations
- Dive deep into the workings of independent film distribution, from the acquisitions process to marketing strategies and digital distribution
QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA student preferred, open to undergraduates in their junior or senior year
- Proficient in Excel
- Strong creative problem-solving skills
- Proactive mindset
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Passionate about independent film and distribution
