This is a Full Time Job
As Magnolia's International Sales Department enters a period of rapid growth, we are seeking a full-time sales assistant to help support our busy sales team and prepare for major international markets.
This full-time, entry-level position gives qualified candidates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all facets of a fast-paced, cutting-edge international film sales department.
RESPONSIBILITIES (other tasks may be assigned)
• Assists all departmental sales functions; interface with Accounting, Marketing, Legal/Business Affairs and Delivery departments as needed.
• Support all aspects of international sales deals including
o Enter sales contracts into Rightsline database, and ensure that the database is always kept up to date (delivery dates, payment confirmation, title metadata)
o Work with Accounting to ensure invoices are created and payments received on time, and track in Airtable & Rightsline
o Ensure technical and promotional materials for new films are accessible to festivals and distributors (liaising with Delivery and Marketing departments)
• Update Airtable to maintain accurate contact info and track activity (links sent, festival invitations and bookings, titles sold, etc.) with help from Intern
• Support International Market prep (e.g. TIFF, MIPCOM, AFM, EFM, CANNES):
• Assists with scheduling meetings for Sales Team using Outlook/Mail/Zoom (working with Intern)
• Drafts promotional newsletters in MailChimp to promote our lineup and secure meetings
• Compiles latest info on confirmed meeting partners (buyers and festivals) to ensure Sales Team is fully up to date
• Assist with the design/creation of simple marketing elements, or coordinate more complex work as needed with graphic designers: sales catalog, promotional items, posters, etc.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, film/TV or communications
• Demonstrated experience in the film industry (Sales, Distribution, Festival, Production or Post Production). Must be comfortable with technical, administrative work and legal language.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Google suite, Airtable, Zoom, Slack, Mailchimp desirable. Basic knowledge of InDesign/Photoshop and Canva a plus. Familiarity with rights management systems such as FileMaker, FilmTrack or Rightsline desirable but not required.
• Familiarity with different types of film distribution (EST, TVOD, SVOD, AVOD, Theatrical and Non-Theatrical) is a plus
• The successful candidate must be highly motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented and display strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to go above-and-beyond without being asked, thinking critically and develop recommendations for process/strategy improvements is highly desirable.

Hybrid; required to be in office Tuesdays and Wednesdays; Monday, Thursday, Friday remote (subject to change) Hours are 10:00AM- 6:00PM.
