Intern - Film/TV Development

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

Internship Start Date/Season: As soon as possible, but open to a flexible start date if needed
Internship Duration: 3-4 months (we are very flexible)
Time/Days Required: Flexible hours, 2-3 days a week

JOB DESCRIPTION
Mad Box Productions, a Radar Pictures company, is a film and television production company focused on developing and producing content with strong points of view, bold flair, and unique voices.

We are seeking passionate, highly motivated interns interested in scripted development to join our small, yet busy operation.

This is a unique opportunity to experience and contribute to a growing film and television development slate. We develop fresh, exciting film and television concepts for a wide variety of networks and streamers. Interns will assist the team and contribute to all aspects of the development process.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Script/book coverage and analysis
Keeping up with current industry news and gaining a deeper understanding of network/studio brands and programming needs
Researching current events and trends, and flagging interesting news articles, talent, IP, stories, and ideas that could serve as potential TV/film concepts
Working alongside the team to generate and build upon new ideas, actively contribute to creative brainstorms, and pitch ideas to the group
Creating and maintaining grids
Contributing to the writing of treatments, decks, and loglines for new TV show and film ideas across a wide variety of genres
Identifying suitable directors, writers, and talent for projects
Requirements:

A strong passion for storytelling
An interest in scripted film and TV development
A great understanding of script and story structure
Experience and confidence with script coverage and giving notes
A positive can-do attitude and eagerness to learn and contribute to the development process
Excellent writing and communication skills, and confidence interacting both internally and externally with potential talent
Strong and thorough research skills, organization, and attention to detail
The ability to multitask and prioritize projects
Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and eligible to receive college credit
This internship is fully remote. The position is unpaid, and we will help eligible interns receive academic credit.
