Job description
Lux Lighting is an innovative company in Los Angeles, supplying and supporting state-of-the-art film and television lighting technologies. Founded in 1998 and reimagined in 2018, we are constantly growing and are looking for new team members.
This is a recently created position that needs an individual looking to take charge of the opportunity to create a new role and establish a position. If the idea of building something from the ground up sounds exciting, we'd love to hear from you.
Looking beyond the position, we deeply value team members with additional skills, talents, hobbies, and interests. We find the best team members to be those who are well-rounded and passionate about their interests and try to find ways to tap into that as an organization.
While we are deeply tied to the set lighting industry, this is not a position that promises on-set experience though set work may be offered from time to time.
At this time, we are currently filling the position with California residents only.

Duties:
Ensure supply room, mailroom, and kitchen are organized and stocked with supplies.
Collect, sort, distribute and prepare mail, messages, and courier deliveries
Manage our office-related vendor accounts (Cintas, cleaning service, etc.)
Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, and forward calls, providing information, taking messages, and scheduling appointments.
Assist Accounting with collections and other Accounts Receivables and Payables functions
Assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Able to lift 50lbs
Valid driver's license
Computer Literate (Google Suite and Quickbooks knowledge preferred, other programs taught in-house)
Desired Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in office administration and high-volume office work
Must be very tech-savvy and comfortable with learning new technology systems and processes
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
Excellent team working, motivational, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
Reports to: General Manager
Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm, M-F. Overtime as necessary
Full-time employees receive medical and dental benefits after a 3 month trial period.
