We are looking for a collaborative and creative team player who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, and passion for great storytelling and filmmaking that define Lucasfilm.
The Digital Asset Coordinator is involved across all aspects of their department and reports to the department Producer. They are involved in the full portfolio of departmental projects and are responsible for coordinating and communicating the flow of assets into and out of the department. They also assist with all cross-team workflows and act as research assistance for various productions.
What you'll do
• Coordinate and execute efficient naming conventions, storage, and maintenance of the department's files/assets
• Maintain server and drive organization of all departmental assets both 2D and 3D assets.
• Monitor incoming ticket requests and assign to team members based on current bandwidth; remain aware of current requests and due dates, and proactively offer ways to help meet deadlines
• Act as key reference assistant and point of contact all shows; develops and maintains extensive Star Wars lore
• Schedule and drive department meetings, keeping an eye on project deadlines, milestones, and release dates
• Track staff absences and step in to assist as needed
• Uploading, downloading, and sorting assets within Lucasfilm proprietary asset platform
• Submit Lobot service tickets to assist department employees with any software or hardware roadblocks
• Creating breakdowns and summaries for updated scripts across current shows, as needed and assigned
• Complete special projects and cover for other staff members as needed.
• Problem solving, finding better ways for the Art Department to be more efficient.
What we're looking for
• 3+ years experience in Live Action Production
• BA in film or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Solid understanding of Star Wars universe and terminology
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinker, strong work ethic, and positive attitude while routinely exercising sound judgment
• Demonstrates strong professionalism and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
• Self-sufficient, accountable and able to work with minimal supervision, proactively looking for ways to improve workflows and team efficiencies, and deadline oriented
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate
• Experience with 3D assets a plus
• Production experience a plus
The hiring range for this position in San Francisco is $49,429 to $63,493 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
