Summary
The Digital Content Coordinator works closely with the Manager, Marketing & Creative Services to maintain and grow the Los Angeles Sparks' online presence. You will be responsible for leading and updating the website and media library. Additionally, you will act as liaison between the Sparks and WNBA digital team. The Coordinator will also act as the main photographer/videographer for Sparks games and events and support the marketing department with various tasks.
Job Responsibilities
• Coordinate the design and implementation of all web operations for the franchise
• Produce highlight videos and other videos for use on digital platforms
• Troubleshoot issues using JIRA, assuring they are resolved timely and efficiently
• Photograph and/or film events throughout the year
• Serve as content manager, ensuring year-round digital content is stored, organized and labeled accurately
• Update and ensure web pages are meaningful and accurate by editing content in a timely manner based on the needs of other departments (i.e. Sales, marketing and sponsorship)
• Serve as main point of contact for all web-related inquiries
• Update news features and circulate news releases in order to establish on-brand consistency
• Work in conjunction with WNBA digital team and continually report to them for any changes and updates
• Own and maintain site analytics, metrics, and campaign reporting
• Generate reports on a weekly and monthly basis to track website activity to ensure the most customer happiness
• Work closely with the Social Media Specialist in building timely content
• Serve as LiveChat operator, responding to inquiries from fans and distributing leads to sales team when applicable
• Lead, prioritize and maintain the media library
• Field photo and/or video requests from other departments, media, and sponsors
• Work with the creation of on-brand graphics to employ on the website (i.e. page banners, panels, ads)
• Lead and continually update website ads (handled by the league)
Job Skills
& Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or 2 - 3 years equivalent work experience preferably in the digital media, marketing, or communications fields
• Knowledge of web development tools, content management systems-knowledge of WordPress preferred
• Excellent time and project management skills-must take initiative, be a self-starter and have the ability to work on multiple projects
• Excellent technical skills-including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and After Effects
• Experience with Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics
• Familiarity with optimizing pages for search (SEO)
• Understanding of photography, videography-specifically with Sony mirrorless cameras
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Demonstrate a positive and reciprocal attitude
• Display strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
