Job Title: Manager, Total Rewards
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Vice President, Human Resources
Position Summary: The Manager, Total Rewards will work behind the scenes to design, build and deliver the best experience for our employees. This position will make a positive difference for our employees by optimizing and enhancing our current offerings and implementing best practices. This role will cover benefits, workers compensation, health & wellness, policies & procedures, recognition, and rewards. This position continually looks for opportunities to take initiative and improve the HR department as well as the organization.
Key metrics used to evaluate performance:
• All worker's compensation and benefit matters handled timely and accurately.
• Initiative taken to spearhead projects and work with leadership.
• Effectiveness and clarity of programs introduced and implemented.
Essential Functions (Duties & Responsibilities**):
• Lead the design and development of compensation, 401(k) and health programs
• Serve as benefits/401(k) expert and broker liaison
• Guide the annual renewal process for benefits in conjunction with our broker; research, recommend and support selecting strategic benefits packages
• Medical, Dental, Vision, STD/LTD, FSA/HAS, 401(k) and ancillary offers
• Ensure all plans are accurately configured and maintained in the system
• Benchmark jobs for competitive pay structures and equity as needed
• Own the LOA administration process
• Lead company communications to drive employee awareness and ensure programs are well understood
• Design and implement a recognition program and platform
• Assist with other special project and tasks, as needed and assigned by direct manager
• Manage the workers compensation process for staff and players
• Design and strategize a new health & wellness program for staff
**Responsibilities subject to change based on organizational needs and direction from management.
Education
/ Certification:
• Bachelor's degree (required)
• Advanced degree or MBA (preferred)
Previous experience:
• A minimum of five to seven (5-7) years' experience working within human resources
• At least three to five (3-5) years of relevant benefits processing experience and have a good working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, COBRA, HIPAA
Technology:
• Experience with HRIS software such as ADP
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
Knowledge, skills, abilities:
• Familiarity with federal and state labor law regulations, minimum wage
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with a passion for people
• Presents self in professional manner and has the demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of organization and outside contacts
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
• Demonstrated capability in adapting and innovating HR practices and solutions and right-sizing them to the needs of fluid and fast-paced organization
• Excellent communication skills including written and verbal; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
• Strong project management, analytical and organization skills.
• Excels at multi-tasking, planning, can prioritize work activities; uses time efficiently.
• Adaptability – adapts to change in the work environment, manages competing demands and can handle frequent changes
• Dependability – consistently at work on time, follows instructions, responds to manager's instruction
• Experience translating ideas into implemented solutions
• Demonstrated success in a rapid moving environment
• Team Oriented – consistently offering aid to members within the department
• Knowledge of best practices in the benefits space
• Demonstrated strong leadership experience with involvement in execution as well as the development of strategic initiatives.
