This is a Full Time Job
Job Functions:
• Coordinate and plan efficient operation of the warehouse
• Organize all activities & assignments for staff
• Schedule employees and monitor employee attendance
• Manage inventory through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, inventories, cycle counts, and audits of same to verify results
• Ensure the safety of employees and security of stock in warehouse
• Train and monitor staff in standard operating procedures and safe work practices
• Receive and manages warehouse data entry within POS system and storing of POS system records
• Responsible for timely delivery of goods and transfers to point of sale locations
• Work closely with Merchandise Manager on product management, quality control, and distribution
• Work with VMC to ensure visual presentation
• Works with Accounts Payable Manger in processing of invoices and receipts
• Responsible for Setup and Breakdown of layouts in warehouse and retail locations & space management within these locations
• Ensure all products are properly identified, ticketed and updated into the POS system
• Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of warehouse vehicles and equipment
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
• High School Diploma, GED, or its equivalent
• Minimum of five (5) years of merchandising/retail buying in a high-volume retail setting
• Comfortable using warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts. etc.
• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical understanding of all retail principals
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong knowledge with Retail Pro or similar retail management system preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Word and Excel
• Counterpoint software experience is a plus
• Ability to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
