The Supervisor, Stadium Tours & Special Events is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of public and private tours, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the tour department
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure Stadium Tours run efficiently and effectively and implement operational changes as needed
• Schedule tour staff and submit tour staff hours for payroll, on a weekly basis
• Interview, hire, train new tour guides and continually coach and develop tour staff
• Strategically schedule private/group tours in addition to the existing public tour schedule
• Build strong rapport with tour staff, guests, group clients and internal Dodger staff
• Revise and develop new additions to the script as appropriate
• Assist in development of new materials and displays to add to the tour route to help augment the visual appeal of the Dodger story
• Compile monthly revenue and guest count reports
• Conduct detailed stadium walk-throughs to ensure tour areas are well-maintained and meet/exceed guest expectations
• Work closely with the Manager of Special Event Sales to develop plans to continually grow the tour program
• Work with Planning & Development to create special exhibits during each season, including the off season ''pop up museum'' and help develop opportunities for growth of these programs
• Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management, Travel and Tourism, or a related field
• Minimum of 2-4 years of tour related experience at a stadium-like venue
• Exceptional presentation skills and proven experience with talking to large groups
• Provide exceptional customer service to all stadium guests
• Consistently demonstrate a positive and team-oriented attitude
• Maintain a professional image and demeanor at all times
• Knowledgeable on all aspects of Dodger Stadium and Club history
• Requires continual attention to detail and high level of organization
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Proven leadership ability
• Creative skills a plus for organizing tour script and exhibits along the tour route
• Innovative thinking about new programs and annual reoccurring programs welcome
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
