Communications drives strategic planning and daily operation of the Dodgers' Public Relations department in its work with the media and partners in and around baseball, not the least of which is coverage of the baseball team itself from pregame to postgame. We strategize media plans for all aspects of the organization, including an expanding number of consumer and fan-facing opportunities. Internal communication is also a priority and involves working across departments.
Position Skills and Qualifications:
• Ability to navigate a highly professional and often high-pressure environment, encompassing the organization's values.
• Writing ability (for press notes and the link)
• Organizational ability.
• Ability to learn and listen.
• Strength under deadline pressure.
• Skills to interact with fellow employees as well as media in press box, including fulfilling requests and answering questions.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Passion for what they do!
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
• Must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree OR are currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution
• Must be available to live and work in Los Angeles or your assigned office location throughout the duration of your 3-month program during the summer months
• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
• Passionate about working for a professional sports team
• Proactive and out of the box thinking
