TRYOUTS TO BE HELD FOR DODGER BALL TEAM MEMBERS:
The Dodgers are looking to hire a staff of Ball Team Members to fulfill both promotional and on-field duties. Resumes are now being accepted and tryouts will occur at Dodger Stadium on a date yet to be determined.
Candidates who are interested in participating in the try-out must submit an application and their resume listing both work and baseball/ softball experience.
Job Functions:
• Perform in-game functions such as fielding foul balls, warming up Ceremonial First Pitch guests, and distributing foul balls to Dodger fans
• Serve as a brand ambassador to the Los Angeles Dodgers organization and build impressionable moments with Dodger fans of all ages
• Engage with fans in an upbeat, professional, and positive manner
• Facilitate interactive games and activities on the concourses and at special events
• Handle the Bobblehead Characters in the stadium concourses and during special events
• Pose for photos with Dodger fans
• Serve as a Dodger Ambassador at Community Events
• Perform other related duties as assigned, which could include supporting the Blue Crew staff as needed on game days
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Must demonstrate a proven understanding of the game of baseball, with the ability to field foul balls and avoid fair balls, understanding the difference between the two
• Must have baseball or softball playing experience
• Previous work experience in customer service or related field preferred
• Demonstrate strong social skills with a positive and upbeat personality
• Ability to function in a heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment
• Able to quickly solve practical problems as they interact with fans and special guests
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, walk long distances and climb up/down stairs
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or sit and able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to work 75% of all home games for the 2022 Season (April – September) and postseason games (October)
• Able to perform job duties in inclement weather of varying degrees
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the Greater Los Angeles area
