TRYOUTS TO BE HELD FOR DODGERS BALL BOYS AND GIRLS

The Dodgers are looking to hire a staff of ball girls and boys, who can represent the organization in promotional situations, as well as perform duties on the field. Résumé's are now being accepted until February 18, 2019, for the ball boys/girls positions.

Try-outs for these positions will be held on a date to be determined in March at Dodger Stadium. Candidates who are interested in participating in the try-out are asked to send their résumé listing baseball and/or softball experience.

Job Functions:
• Field foul balls and give them to Dodger fans
• Interact with fans both on and off the field
• Assist with player warm-ups
• Perform other related duties as assigned-which may include becoming part of the Blue Crew staff as needed

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Demonstrate knowledge about the game of baseball, with the ability to avoid fair balls and field balls, while knowing the difference between the two
• Must have baseball or softball playing experience
• Possess strong communication and public relations skills
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with a positive and energetic personality
• Ability to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, walk long distances and climb up/down stairs
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or sit and able to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Able to perform job duties in inclement weather of varying degrees
