Pay Rate: $16.50/hour
*Interviews for our 2023 Internship positions will take place in February 2023
Our Amateur Scouting Department is tasked with identifying and collecting information on Domestic Amateur players who are eligible for the MLB Draft in mid-July 2023. Our core objectives are to organize and manage significant amounts of information on these players— ranging from biographical and personal information to scouting and athletic performance data as well.
Our end-goal is to process all the information we're able to collect into a final decision for the annual Draft in which we select 20 players who will eventually go into our Minor League system and continue their development to become Major League players.
Position Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in Excel is required
• General baseball knowledge
• Ability to carry 50lbs and drive a car for potential off-site moving
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in fast paced environment
• Must have a can-do attitude and be team oriented
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
• Must be a current freshman, sophomore or junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree OR are currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited institution.
• Must be available to live and work in Los Angeles or your assigned office location throughout the duration of your 12-week program (May 22-August 11).
• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Passionate about working for a professional sports team.
• Proactive and out of the box thinking.
