Overview:
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Ticket Operations and Services, the Manager, Ticket Operations is responsible for the efficient operation of the Angel Stadium ticket office. This includes the processing, fulfillment, and tracking of all ticket types: season, partial season, group, and single game tickets sold in advance and on game day. The role also involves managing ticketing for non-baseball events held at the stadium, such as tours, commencements, and rentals.
This is a benefits-eligible position, offering medical, dental, and vision insurance, and 401K eligibility (employee contributions after 3 months, employer matching and safe harbor after 1 year and 1000 hours of employment), as well as other benefits. The expected annual salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000, with final offers determined by factors such as experience and skills.
Duties:
• Supervise Ticket Operations Representatives and seasonal, part-time ticket sellers, including:
• Scheduling, training, maintaining, and enforcing company and department policies and procedures.
• Maintain a positive work environment that aligns with the organization's philosophy and complies with company policies and procedures.
• Administer ProVenue and related ticketing software, including:
• Managing ticket price files, annual system turnover, and seating manifests.
• Scheduling (opponent, game times, dates), packages, offers, and promotions.
• Pricing and complimentary ticket allocation.
• Tracking payments and liabilities.
• Lead Spring Training Ticket Operations from an offsite location, including:
• Event creation, manifest building, and pricing.
• Managing all aspects of enabling events for sale through internal and external channels.
• Preparing event and account renewals year over year and generating invoices.
• Managing the payment plan process and related batch duties, including processing payments.
• Managing the Tempe Diablo Stadium Spring Training ticket office from on-sale through the season.
• Traveling to Tempe, AZ, to oversee the ticket office and sales staff.
• Execute game day operations, including:
• Liaising with sales teams in Anaheim.
• Facilitating daily balancing and cash controls.
• Providing excellent customer service.
• Serve as the company's ticketing training and troubleshooting expert, requiring in-depth knowledge of systems, software, policies, and procedures.
• Regularly interface with the Finance department for ticketing results and reporting, including:
• Invoicing and payment processing.
• Daily balancing, settlements, and reconciliation.
• Cash deposits and liabilities management.
• Oversee the shipping of all printed tickets, including:
• Operating the UPS shipping system.
• Maintaining current delivery addresses.
• Running manifest lists, shipping labels, and tracking.
• Managing ticket stock inventory.
• Collaborate with Ballpark Operations and Guest Services on access control system implementation and resolving game-day ticket issues.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of computerized box office experience, including 2 years in a management role or equivalent education and experience.
• Proven ability to plan, conceptualize, make sound business decisions, and exercise considerable independent and professional judgment.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills; excellent customer service skills; and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with diverse populations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and advanced knowledge of computerized ticket sales systems (ProVenue preferred).
• Demonstrated job reliability, diligence, dedication, and the ability to work independently.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and skill in money handling.
• Experience working effectively in a deadline-driven environment while multitasking, with willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays regularly.
Physical Demands - Persons in this position may have to:
• Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Occasionally traverse to various locations around the stadium.
• Continuously operate devices that are capable of completing essential job functions such as computer.
• May be occasionally subjected to extreme heat (over 90 degrees) when working outdoors i.e. performing work in an around the stadium.
• May be subjected to loud noises during stadium events.
• Occasionally lift equipment up to 20 lbs.
