Overview:
Reporting to the VP, Corporate Partnerships, the Account Manager, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for selling radio, stadium signage, digital, print, local and in-stadium promotional rights and opportunities as well as maintaining the client relationship for the Los Angeles Angels.
Duties:
• Identify prospects and take assigned leads from discovery to research phase, then profile and make initial contact. Expected to perform outside sales functions a minimum of 50% of the time.
• Prepare initial presentation; including specific data on each
• Determine client objectives
• Prepare proposals that match client objectives to package components by outlining benefits of sponsorship program
• Negotiate sales to conclusion including sponsorship agreement
• Responsible for selling Angels controlled advertising elements. Elements include but are not limited to tv, radio, signage, digital, print, promotions, tickets, suites, hospitality and local promotional rights.
• Sell to performance standard (quota)
• Account service on accounts as determined by the Vice President, Corporate Partnerships.
• Collections on all sales
• Overall client satisfaction and continued renewal of relationship with team
• Overall communication of clients' needs and details of clients' business and expectations to team personnel
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Sales or equivalent preferred
• 5 years professional sales experience required; prior corporate sales experience with a professional, college or minor league team preferred
• Experience with Los Angeles DMA
• Self-driven, motivated and results oriented
• Proven record of consistently exceeding sales goals
• Excellent formal presentation skills before small and large groups
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Knowledge of MS Office applications
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and unusual hours
• Valid Driver's License with no major infractions in the last 3 years.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to perform work in an office environment or travel via vehicle.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, stand and sit frequently
• Position requires some degree of travel for business purposes
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs.
