ABOUT THE POSITON
The teaching assignment may be at the Liberal Arts campus, the Pacific Coast campus or other college teaching locations. The assignment may be day, evening, weekend, online or off campus and is subject to change as needed. Part-time faculty positions are as needed positions and do not accrue rights to tenure. Part-time faculty positions offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students in achieving their educational goals. As one of the most diverse community college districts in southern California, we offer a wide range of opportunities in transfer, general education, vocational and occupational programs.

Minimum Qualifications for Instructors-DIGITAL MEDIA ARTS
There currently are no minimum qualifications for this discipline in the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges Handbook. In this absence, this equivalency statement will serve as direction for HR and those involved in the hiring for this position.
LOCAL Equivalency Standard
• Any bachelor's degree or higher and two years professional experience or any associate degree and six years of professional experience.
• Professional experience from any of the following areas is required:
Graphic Design, 2D animation, 3D animation, Game Design, Illustration, Character Design, Concept Art, Comic Art, Visual Communications, Printing, Merchandise, Typography, Branding, Advertising, Art Direction, Creative Direction, Motion Graphics, Web/App Design, MultimediaOR
• A Master's Degree in Art, Studio Art, Digital Art, Game Design, Animation, Graphics or Graphic
Design, Web Design, Multimedia, Media Arts, 4D Art or Illustration
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous community college teaching experience
• Professional experience in any one of the following: Graphic Design, 2D animation, 3D animation, Game Design, Illustration, Character Design, Concept Art, Comic Art, Visual Communications, Printing, Typography, Art Direction, Creative Direction, Motion Graphics, Web/App Design, Multimedia
