Creative Assistant - Office
London Alley Entertainment, Inc., a Los Angeles-based Music Video and Commercial company, is seeking a part-time Post Production Assistant / Creative Assistant to join our innovational Post Production and Design team. This person will assist with the operations of post-production for music videos, commercials and other visual content, as well as assist in conceptual presentation and pitching process.

Position Summary:
Works very closely with our Post Supervisor, Directors, and Producers, providing creative and technical assistance wherever necessary throughout the process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assistant editing tasks, such as: transcoding, organizing, and syncing footage, exporting sequences for client approval, addressing small notes and changes within an edit.
• Compressing and encoding video and audio files for a variety of delivery specs.
• Organizing company archives and project related elements.
• Graphic design assistance including, but not limited to, treatment layouts, website artwork and thumbnails, newsletters, and press announcements.
• Data management within a project, as well as organization among all active projects.
• A variety of other design-related tasks and projects that may arise while working with our directors and producers.
• Experience and ability to conform projects on a large scale is a PLUS.

Requirements:
• Recommended 2-3 years of experience working as an Assistant Editor and/or graphic designer at a production company, motion graphics studio or digital agency.
• Must thrive in a collaborative team/ family work environment.
• Up to date on technological advancements in video and graphic design software and workflows.
• Solid knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Especially Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere).
• Proficiency in video software such as Final Cut Pro 7, Premiere, Compressor and DaVinci Resolve.
• Knowledge of a variety of video and audio codecs across multiple platforms.
• RED, Arri Alexa & Sony camera workflows (Experience in RED Cine is strongly recommended).
• Solid understanding of typography and information design.
• Proficiency in Excel/ Word/ Powerpoint is a plus. (But must know at least the basics of the programs)
• Must be able to navigate and work with FTP programs.
• Must be a conceptual thinker with strong design skills. A strong proficiency in writing, storytelling, and grammar is recommended.
• Strong attention to details and accuracy.
• Able to multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
This is a part-time position based in Los Angeles, CA. Hours will vary and may include night and weekend work. Entry level compensation based on experience.
