Local Hero Post is a filmmaker-centric boutique post house that specializes in end-to -end co-production and post-production for feature films and prestige TV. We specialize in getting the most professional quality image out of today's digital cinema cameras using raw codec formats with end-to-end color management. Our services cover everything from workflow design and supervision, to dailies, editorial, DI, VFX, and delivery.
The DI and VFX Coordinator is the first point of contact for all shows in house and must have a calm and professional client demeanor. They will be responsible for keeping the company-wide calendar, including working with clients and artists to schedule time based on bid amounts and necessities. The Coordinator will be in charge of checking assets into and out of the facility, and will be responsible for general upkeep of the vault. They will be an integral part of ensuring that post production and VFX flows smoothly and that all client and company requirements are being met.
Responsibilities:
Schedule management for facility, including all projects, artists, rooms, and equipment.
Sit in on reviews and take detailed notes in trackers, for artists to refer back to.
Track assets as they come into and move around the facility, manage the vault so assets are easy to find in database.
Interface with clients to assess their needs and accurately sort those needs in varying degrees of urgency and importance.
Delegate responsibilities to assistants or artists on an at-need basis
Create expense reports for individual projects based on actuals per artist and per department
Requirements:
This position will support executive producers in LA and (remotely) in Montreal, where our sister company is located.
Must have strong verbal and written and verbal communications skills, as a large part of this position is facilitating communication between departments and with clients.
Must be highly organized, as this position will use internal tools to sort and convey vital information to teams across multiple departments on a daily basis.
Should be self-motivated and flexible, able to adjust with the sharp turns that post production may take. A successful candidate will be able to seek out ways to improve upon their position on their own, and any productive change will be welcomed.
Must be proficient in microsoft office, with an emphasis on excel. This position will involve some data entry.
Must have a working knowledge of the post production / VFX processes. 3 years in a post production / VFX facilities preferred.
