THE JOB
The Vice President, Live Nation Arenas is a key member of the division's senior leadership team, responsible for setting and executing the strategic planning for event programming across client venues. This role will cultivate and manage high-level relationships with top-tier promoters, agents, producers, and content partners across the live events industry. Reporting directly to the division leader, the Vice President will not only lead the division's programming initiatives, this position will also support the division leader in client retention and new business development.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of division programming initiatives
• Oversee and direct the division booking personnel
• Identify and pursue new booking opportunities in addition to traditional 3rd party content
• Enhance existing resources and create new booking tools for client venues
• Foster strong relationships with industry decision makers including all content providers, talent agencies and entertainment producers
• Collaborate and strategize with the division leader on new business opportunities
• Provide strategic input on division's client renewal efforts
• Support negotiations with both new business and renewal clients
• Create event financial pro formas, budgets, and P&L's
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• A minimum of 10+ years of advanced experience in venue booking within live entertainment and/or sports facilities
• At least 5+ years' experience in leadership or supervisory roles
• Understanding of the facility management industry, including promotions, concerts, family shows, private/corporate events and special events.
• Ability to cultivate strong relationships across the live entertainment industry, talent agencies, and content providers
• Experience in contract negotiation, development and execution
• Excellent people skills, with an ability to interact effectively, professionally and diplomatically with clients at all levels including professional sports franchises executive team members and high-level NCAA athletic department administration
• Highly organized with excellent project coordination and project management skills
• Must be a self-starter
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to oversee the division booking team
• Must be flexible and adaptable to changes, when necessary
• Must be willing to travel
