This is a Part Time Paid Internship
THE POSITION – CONCERTS COMMUNICATIONS INTERN
Are you looking for an exciting internship experience? Our paid Internship Program provides real-world experience for students who are interested in the live entertainment industry. After finishing this program, you will have gained broad experience in various aspects live entertainment business. You can also expect to apply your academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate your leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. This is a part-time position, up to 40 hours per week. In this role you will focus on supporting & collaborating with the Concerts Communications team.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Create coverage reports for national tour announcements, promotional announcements, special local show announcements, venue opening announcements and more
• Manage current media contacts and track job changes (updating contact info) for national, regional and local news outlets for inclusion in our press distribution list
• Compile lists of relevant news outlets for media pitching based on artist team needs; includes lists of ''top tour'' articles by genre, ticket sales, region and additional benchmarks as well as help pitch our tours for coverage to these outlets
• Review news coverage of our artists and/or regions prior to announcements for guidance on pitching and announce timing
• Support social editorial opportunity and influencer research/ outreach, as needed
• Shadow national tour announcements and local tour announcements, marketing promotional announcements and venue opening announcements
• Draft first pass press releases and tour alerts, as needed
• Create first passes of templates/outlines of PR documents, as needed
• Maintain internal and external lists of tour lists, team capacity and ticket links
• Collect editorial calendars from media and update the internal master event calendar including big entertainment events to advise on tour announcement timing and editorial opportunities
• Upload press releases and tour news to the media Newsroom
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Recent graduate or currently enrolled in an accredited College or University; Preferably in a field related to the internship you are applying for.
• Recent college graduate, Junior or Senior standing
• Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional).
