THE POSITION – BOOKING INTERN
Are you looking for an exciting internship experience? Our paid Internship Program provides real-world experience for students who are interested in the live entertainment industry. After finishing this program, you will have gained broad experience in various aspects live entertainment business. You can also expect to apply your academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate your leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. This is a part-time position, up to 40 hours per week. The Booking Intern will support the Lead Booker and other talent team members in all aspects of buying responsibilities including preparation of offer sheets, administrative support, talent research and prospecting.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Booking Support
• Create and prepare deal sheets in Rome (shells) and SOMA quarterly builds.
• Obtain holds from venues, place, and release holds in Rome. Take lead on releasing holds for confirmed shows and dropping dead holds as needed.
• Obtain all details such as announce/on sale timelines and show information such as confirmed acts, door/show times, etc. from artist representatives and act as communications liaison between artist and venues
• Complete and distribute Show Confirmations and Event Status Sheets to internal staff, venues and partners once timelines are determined.
• Create reports as needed and distribute to pertinent internal and external stakeholders.
• In charge of creating and executing all Working Lists for 3P venues and the amp including but not limited to parking information, credential pick up details, set times, etc.
• Assist booking coordinator in addressing and maintaining office related matters as needed.
• Assist in finals distribution for completed shows such as signed off settlement sheets, wire receipts, final paid count, etc.
• Assist in obtaining tour advance contacts for production team members.
• Assist booking coordinator in sourcing local talent/openers/support as needed.
Research and Talent Prospecting
• Research new, up and coming artists, and distribute info to Lead Booker and rest of the booking team
• Serve as a key member of the booking team, participate in meetings and discussions, deliver new and exciting ideas on artists, processes, and best practices
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Interest in business operations, or the live music/entertainment industry
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program (Business, Marketing, Finance, etc.)
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook (including calendar scheduling), Excel, and general database tools
• Comfortable learning internal systems and tools used for day-to-day tasks
• Strong internet research skills and familiarity with using online tools for communication
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and good judgment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on multiple tasks
• Willingness to support team needs across venues and office operations
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment
• Passion for live music and interest in the music industry
