THE JOB – Operations Assistant at Lakewood Amphitheatre
Lakewood Amphitheatre is seeking a Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for general administrative support.
Important Note: This position is part-time/seasonal with hours beginning in February of 2024 and working through October of 2024.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Works directly with the Operations Manager to perform day of show duties.
• Perform opening/running/closing duties according to Live Nation policy.
• Keep current on all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and be able to effectively communicate them to team members.
• Ensure audit and SOP document files are up to date.
• Manage event day of show sheet and relay information from management directly to crew.
• Act as the point of contact and general support for vendors, visitors, touring guests and supervisors.
• Pre-show shift would include supporting venue setup, liaising with tour VIP managers, ensuring equipment is in place for use, managing signage distribution and general venue support in all areas.
• During events, maintain line of sight / atmosphere control by circulating through work area and addressing / solving any issues encountered and escalating as necessary.
• After show shift, would include checking equipment back in, collecting uniforms, collecting all equipment, supporting venue shut down.
• Day of show support to operations and production.
• Required to work all events.
• Ensuring that the venue is properly set up for concerts and events.
• Responsible for tearing down and clearing up the venue after events.
• Other duties as assigned by venue management.
• Work directly with the venue operations manager and general manager gaining first hand event knowledge in all areas.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Position requires constant walking, standing and occasional sitting in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions; lifting/carrying 25+ pounds.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Working knowledge of Music Venue Operations.
• Able to handle long show days – up to 15 hours
• Enjoys interacting with guests.
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, including late evenings.
• Great attention to detail and ability to work against deadlines.
• Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy.
