The Associate, Business Development will help grow and support the business development function for Promoted Ads, Ticketmaster's proprietary advertising platform. This role blends prospecting, client support, business operations, and marketing coordination - keeping the pipeline accurate and moving, supporting day-to-day client and operational needs, and enabling Directors to spend more time building relationships and driving growth. You'll become a subject-matter expert on the Promoted Ads product, leading demos and discovery calls and serving as the voice of the client to Product. This is a strong opportunity for someone who is curious, dependable, thorough, process-minded, and client-focused, and eager to build a career in business development or sales.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Research, qualify, and prioritize prospective clients for the team, while onboarding self-serve users and setting them up for success
• Support initial outreach and communications to prospects
• Maintain accurate prospect, activity, and next-step information in the CRM
• Identify opportunities to improve pipeline organization, follow-up consistency, and reporting
• Become a subject-matter expert on the Promoted Ads product
• Lead product demos and discovery calls on your own, tailoring solutions to each client's goals
• Act as the voice of the client to Product - bringing back feature requests, competitive intel, and friction points that shape the roadmap
• Support the Business Development team with beta tests, new feature launches, and go-to-market enablement
• Translate campaign performance data into recommendations and upsell opportunities for the team
• Support the monthly billing process, keeping billing documents up to date and organized for a smooth invoicing cycle
• Help draft process documentation, ensuring clarity across the team and cross-functionally
• Support the BD team in responding to routine client questions, ensuring requests are followed through to resolution
• Troubleshoot basic issues, coordinate with internal teams, and keep clients and stakeholders informed
• Work cross-functionally with Product, B2B Marketing, Ad Operations, and Finance, as well as stakeholders across the company, to support client needs and business priorities
• Keep business development materials, presentations, case studies, and other resources current and organized across resource hubs
• Support marketing initiatives, such as relevant industry events and year-end client gifting
• Prepare client-facing presentations, meeting materials, and internal updates
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, marketing, or a related field
• Genuine curiosity about event marketers - promoters, venues, sports teams, and arts and theater organizations - and their goals and challenges, with the ability to build trusted relationships through thoughtful listening and follow-through
• Comfortable learning the technical details of Promoted Ads' products and the broader digital advertising/retail media landscape, and translating them clearly for different audiences
• Confident and polished in client-facing conversations, including preparing for and delivering product demos and presentations
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and owning recurring workflows
• Collaborative, team-first mindset with the ability to work effectively across functions
• Strong problem-solving skills; comfortable asking thoughtful questions to understand issues beyond the surface level
• Analytical aptitude, with the ability to pull, organize, and analyze basic performance, campaign, or business data to identify trends and flag potential issues
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs, Drive)
• Familiarity with CRM and pipeline-management platforms such as Monday.com, Salesforce, or similar tools
• Comfortable learning new systems and working across multiple tools and platforms
• Interest in digital advertising, media, entertainment, and technology
