THE ROLE:
The Barista will provide exceptional hospitality, quality beverages and products while maintaining a welcoming and comfortable environment. The successful candidate should be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea and drink preparation and go the extra mile to make their customer's day with a perfect cup of coffee or beverage.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Prepare and serve consistently outstanding beverages by adhering to recipe standards.
• Proactively engage with customers to deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized space for guests and coworkers in all areas of the café and patio.
• Assist with setup, cleanup, inventory and stock work
• Perform a variety of tasks including clearing tables of mugs, glasses or dishes, washing mugs, glasses and dishes, cleaning and organizing coffee/condiment station, and taking out trash.
• Adhere to proper safety guidelines at all times
• Assist a variety of duties and tasks as directed.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers
• Thrived in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working a flexible schedule when needed.
• 1+ year experience in food service/hospitality is preferred.
• Ability to deliver exceptional hospitality in a personal and professional manner.
• Strong attention to detail and healthy respect for cleanliness.
• Reliable and consistent - Must be available for overtime for special events or meetings.
• Professional behavior and appearance at all times.
• Ability to walk, stand and sit for periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and/or move objects up to 30 pounds.
• Successful completion of Tips Server Training within 30 days of employment
• COVID-19 vaccination will be required for this position subject to legally valid exemptions
