The Role:
Responsible for all aspects of Talent booking within Big Night Live venue.
Responsibilities:
Establish, Build, and Maintain Positive Relations with Agents, Musicians and Industry People
Must use knowledge of band histories and make initial contact and follow-up
Making initial contact and follow-up
Negotiate all contractual agreements between Big Night Live and artists
Supervision of Department
Provide a positive and creative team environment within the department
Maintain open communication within department
Communicate weekly at a minimum with department heads and managers to keep informed of progress/problems
Conduct evaluations of staff, outline goals, monitor progress, maintain action plans, propose raise recommendations
Ensure staff training is complete and satisfactory. Ensure on going development of department employees
Monitor departmental office procedures
Financial Performance and Results of Departments
Assist in creation of departmental budget (aggressive and attainable) in conjunction with GM
Implement approved budget
Oversee department accounting paperwork
Weekly report to GM: sales trends, bookings, sales recap, department productivity
Oversee Responsibilities of Production, Promotion and Box Office Department
Coordinate with Production Manager/Stage Manager to ensure successful show
Show papering
Monthly calendar - production and distribution
Conduct weekly promotions meetings with Marketing department
Track all ticket buys/ticket give-aways with accurate daily ticket count report
Monitor for and assist in providing superior customer service
Expected to settle 1-2 shows each week
Cover shows a minimum of 2-3 times a week

Qualifications:
Required:
Flexible Schedule (days/nights, late hours, weekends, and holidays)
Must be willing to work long hours
Skilled in decision making, guest relations, interpersonal communications, organization, and time management
Strong passion for music
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in the live music industry, bringing strong relationships with agents and artist managers to the table
Must be well-versed in all genres of music and be a self-starter
Must be fluent in MS Office
High School diploma required,
Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
Preferred:
Some College or College Degree
Knowledge of grass roots marketing, radio and print promotions and F&B operations
Experience in a live music environment
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
Working environment is fast-paced and often loud and stressful
Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing, lifting, bending, reaching, and working on your feet
Must be able to lift or move up to 75 lbs using proper lifting techniques
Tolerance of loud noise level in working environment
