Little Dot Studios is one of the fastest growing next-generation media companies globally, managing YouTube channels and social video for over 100 global TV brands, from The Graham Norton Show to Warner Bros. We produce original and branded video content, and have launched several award-winning branded campaigns. We have offices in London and Los Angeles.
We are looking for a Social Video Assistant to join the team, working from our Los Angeles office. Social Video Assistants are central members of the Little Dot Studios team and need to be proactive and enthusiastic with a range of skills. All applicants should be able to show demonstrable interest in online video and social media, and experience in building and maintaining client relationships.
Responsibilities Include:
• Plan out and strategize monthly video calendar (Ranging from compilations, how to's, best of, clips etc)
• Create, optimize, edit, and upload videos weekly
• Review and update YouTube channels daily
• Maintain active and engaging YouTube presence
• Develop, maintain, and assist Channel Manager with ongoing content and publishing calendars that are up-to-date and consistent with
branding and messaging
• Ensure video content adheres to latest SEO best practices
• Utilize and react to all YouTube analytics/statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Design optimized thumbnails for videos that adhere to style guide
• Ensure brand and identity is represented according to set guidelines, goals, and objectives
• Writing copy for YouTube and social media. Understanding the importance of grammatical accuracy and brand-style as well as? editorial
voice and tone
Requirements
• Excellent knowledge of social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook Twitter), specifically their use of video and the differences between
the platforms
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects (bonus)
• Impeccable spelling and grammar, with an understanding and passion for creative writing on social media
• Excellent knowledge of different videos formats, video compression, sound/video synchronization
• Proven experience/ability and genuine enthusiasm for video editing and graphic design
• Ability to work under pressure managing multiple tasks, and an interest in taking on real responsibility within a rapidly growing and
dynamic start-up
• Willing to work outside of typical 9-5 hours when needed, due to the nature of the industry and the projects being undertaken
• Great communication skills, with a positive attitude and a good sense of humor
Desired Attributes
• Some knowledge of the YouTube content management system and other video platforms
• Some knowledge and understanding of trends in online content consumption and how to maximize them
• Bachelor degree in media/related subject
• Other languages
