Title: PR & Communications Assistant
Salary: Based on experience
Hours: 9.00am - 5.00pm (Monday - Friday)
Location: Remote - but if based in Los Angeles, potential for 1 day a week in Beverly Hills office.
The skills you will bring:
- Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactivity!
- Proficiency on social media and an active interest in monitoring current trends.
- Creativity and are excited about sharing ideas.
- Passionate and knowledgeable about music media.
- Fluency in Spanish is a bonus.
The key focus area of this role are:
- Brainstorming creative ideas for client campaigns.
- Assisting with logistics for launch events / release parties.
- Auditing for news posts and features.
- Assisting with press releases when needed.
- Regional tour pitching.
- Helping to build out media lists and keep current lists updated.
- Helping to regularly identify new media trends and opportunities for clients.
- Creating EPKs.
- Keeping the Listen Up socials updated with press wins.
- Helping with weekly reporting.
Job Description:
- Ensuring you have all assets for client campaigns (MP3s, press shots, artwork, biographies etc) to create press packs on Egnyte.
- Reaching out to tour promoters to discuss press opportunities around dates.
- Regional tour outreach for client's live dates.
- When necessary, facilitate artist interviews with journalists.
- Transcribing interviews and drafting interview questions where needed.
- Writing press releases.
- Keeping the Listen Up socials updated with any clients news/features that have gone live that day/week.
- Keeping the gig guide and release schedule up to date.
- Taking notes during press meets and client calls.
- Handling our master database, ensuring that all contacts are up to date and new ones are added as they come through.
- Auditing for news posts and features.
- Actively consuming music media and sending round new ideas, contacts and inspiration.
- Sending round meeting reminders.
- Create weekly reports for clients.
- Setting up Press Releases in Mailchimp or ready for BCC.
- On-going listening to and involvement in the wider music scene.
- Ensures all copy is correct and organises for amends when necessary.
- Ensures consistent communication of Listen Up's brand image both internally and in the industry.
- Minimal amounts of general office management tasks.
