TV Department Coordinator Job Details | Lionsgate
Summary of Position
Lionsgate Canada’s TV department is looking for Department Coordinator to join the team. The TV Department Coordinator will provide administrative support to the leadership team as well as provide support with creative and development responsibilities as required. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the industry and have strong organizational skills, with a pro-active attitude.
Responsibilities
Scheduling and Calendar Management
• Manage all scheduling requirements for the President and SVP, Scripted & Unscripted Programming
• Assist with scheduling for the VP of Production, for non-production meetings
• Oversee scheduling for the Director of Development and Manager of Scripted Development, as well as coordinating the Scripted Development team's activities
• Coordinate pitch meetings with broadcasters and schedule writer generals and pitches with agencies
• Arrange meetings with producers, writers, and industry professionals
• Coordinate comprehensive trips to industry conferences, including meeting schedules, event logistics and travel.
• Screen incoming requests to determine priority level, including visitors, phone calls, and incoming mail
Communication and Coordination
• Facilitate key internal team meetings and coordinate with various team members as required
• Handle document signatures via DocuSign and return them to the appropriate departments
• Prepare and file monthly expense reports for the President, SVP of Development, and VP of Production
• Organize catered lunches for team gatherings, broadcaster meetings, and C-suite events
• Assist the communications team with corporate events and gift-giving
• Download and distribute national television ratings to relevant stakeholders as needed
• Create presentations for Town Halls and Board Meetings
Creative/Development
• Create visual decks and presentations to the highest standard
• Track industry trends, broadcaster preferences, and streaming platform requirements
• Update the slate database with weekly progress reports
• Collaborate on submission tracking using AirTable and provide feedback on submissions
• Develop slate overview documents for active projects and present them to key stakeholders
• Research potential projects and create one-sheets for series concepts
• Create visual decks and presentations to the highest standard
• Organize talent trackers in AirTable and ensure corresponding materials are up to date

Qualifications and Skills
• 1-3 years of administrative experience in the entertainment industry
• Highly organized and dynamic, with ability to manage multiple tasks under tight time frames
• A self-starter who is able to work both independently and function well within a team
• Demonstrates strong independent judgment and a high degree of interpersonal effectiveness to be able to deal with stakeholders across various levels of the organization
• Strong relationship builder with the ability to interact respectfully and confidently with internal colleagues and external contacts
• Ability to manage efficiently in a multi-tasked environment and ensure deadlines are met by prioritizing workflow
• Demonstrated discretion and confidence in dealing with highly sensitive matters
• Excellent skills in MS Office, particularly with PowerPoint
